She's also a game designer, and is responsible for most of the new mechanics in this chapter. Basically, she does all the cool stuff. (She wonders how much they’ll regret letting her write her own Meet the Team…)

- Firefighter_M - Programmer that programs programs. Also helps with bullet patterns (Also goes by Firered).
I've coded a whole lot of cutscenes, but I'd say my favorite one has got to be the first Dark World cutscene. Seeing it all come together was really fun to see!
Two things. One: Expressing my love for video games of all kinds through the mechanics and design of this mod. Two: Fitting as many weird and obscure references as I can into every facet of the game.
Honestly, aside from general worldbuilding and getting to be as creative as possible? I would earnestly have to say the vivid characters being brought to life with such imagination, including the Shopkeepers I made for my own personal project a long time ago.
Making the preview was my favorite part of working on Team Loss. At the time, we didn’t have many members, but everyone was putting tons and tons of effort into making it. Safe to say, it paid off. I especially loved seeing all of our newer teammates join and provide their amazing ideas after we put out that application!
THE ANTAGONISTS. Holy carp i loved designing them... yes that's right I DREAW THEM. MEEEE!!!!!! I'm excited for the reveal and see all the hard work of the other artists, coders, musicians, and writers put into making all of them come to life!
Designing wacky looking enemies!!!! I love designing weird creatures so making darkners is AWESOEMS!!!
Concepting for the Dark Worlds first area background. I've never had to consciously design for looping & parallax before since I'm not really an environmental artist. Also I got to offload all the real work to Cookie (thanks Cookie).
I know I do sprite work first and foremost, but I'd have to say my favorite thing I've done was showing off my web design skills to the team to prove I was worthy of making this newsletter look pretty. Haha... I'm SO original for choosing something outside of the actual game...
Honestly initial area concept art was so fun to do, seeing everyone's ideas and merging them into a an explorable area is so magical. Also drawing silly little sprites is really fun :))
my favorite thing that i've worked on so far was probably the main area theme. i got to do basically whatever i wanted with it, which was really fun.
Loss Chapter 6
Writing the dialogue for the holiday house segment. Susie & Kris's solo dynamic is extremely fun to work with!
Working on the concept art for this mod! It allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and get started on drawing more in procreate :]
Noelles room has been my favorite thing to make
i like everything im doing so far, haven’t really felt this proud of myself ever since i joined this team, i don’t think i would’ve joined without gamer12_10149’s help (WHY IS YOUR NAME LIKE THAT.)
Honestly, it's how the project is managed. How everything is nicely organized. I Really like things to be this way. I do see it a lot...
The line attack you see in the video. It was the most complex one to code.
I have lots of great memories, but I'd say my most memorable one (even if it had a lot of stress associated with it) was when the video just came out, and the new people to the team were flooding in, and I had to plan the first huge meeting. The VC had almost 25 people attending if I remember correctly, and I was super nervous. But as it went on (mostly thanks to Gabri and her amazing story pitch) it made me realize that we were actually capable in making something truly special. Also killing flavibot because of verity.
My favorite memory is when I explained what a piece of enemy dialogue was based on, and Samo said, ‘How much niche ball knowledge do you have?’ Classic. Aside from that, seeing all the memes people make on the server about our own chapter makes me smile really hard. People are extremely fond of the characters I pitched.
My favorite memory is when The Knight killed Gabri using an Elephant.
A specific memory, huh? Well, I’d have to say, our first meeting after the preview. It was hosted in a vc and there around 30 of us in one vc. I felt extremely overwhelmed by how big the team had gotten. I especially remember how iffy I was on certain ideas too, which I’ve come to warm up to now. Somehow, despite how many of us there were, that meeting wasn’t exactly chaotic though, just intimidating lol. Overall, it was an interesting experience. Very, very interesting.
I'll list a few things...
Fart attack on roblox.
Trans but has work in the morning
The carol shapped elephant in the room.
Cathy. NOT gonna elaborate
The late-night Yo Mama randomiser VC session
I played fart attack on roblox in the work vc
the elephants oh my god there's elephants everywhere they're in our meeting they're in general chat oh no oh no
idk, i just got here.
Voice Chat on Loss Chapter 6
The first time Gabri presented her pitch document for what the chapter would eventually become. Everyone getting genuinely excited, a plan emerging for everyone's workflow, and the feeling that for the first time, we might have a chance at making something incredible was amazing.
The insanity that was the one Verity Vc. I will never forget that. Help!
11 hour vcs every day
Playing Verity in voice chat (i was the reason)
I remember slacking off in VCs and making TTS bot to make it say weird, absurd things.
When Samo added SamoBot. What a narcissist, amirite?
They produced a branch.
Loss Chapter 6 is about something, and every decision made is in service of what it’s about.
I have work in the morning.
If I had to describe Loss Chapter 6 in one sentence, I would say this.
Ahem.
“Chapter 6 is a shorter, straightforward chapter that focuses on one aspect of the story.”
Neurodivergent ants running around and screaming "ITS NOT TOBYCORE ENOUGH!"
WE'RE SINKING!!!!!!
Let's not worry about that right now!
needs to
Cold but in a cool way
brrrrr...
they have a lot of Voice Chat on Loss Chapter 6
A Deltarune mod.
I'd describe Loss Chapter 6 as "A feeling of uneasiness"
Its a New Future!
Chapter 6 is a shorter, straightforward chapWait that joke is taken
It's... Cold.
A take of chapter 6 where Noelle makes a dark fountain to save her father, and it creates darkners such as... time travellers?
I can not believe I have the insane honor of managing such a passionate team. When I first started this project, I never expected it to get this big of a team, let alone a decent following. It's given me a lot of confidence as a manager and game developer (Although... I still have some things I need to work on.) My biggest advice to anyone reading this, is if you have something you want to make... Make it! This whole project would've never happened if I wasn't bored one uneventful summer morning and I wanted to see if I could make a test Chapter 6 opening cutscene just for fun. Then it spiraled into me continuing to make more, asking around my friends for help, and actually making something truly special. Again, I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I have to be the producer and main coder for this amazing project.
The #1 advice I want to print onto every one of you is to play more games. Or, at the very least, experience more art. So much of the chapter is inspired by retro games I love, a main battle mechanic is directly based on Final Fantasy V. There’s so much beauty in the world and if you just play the recent trendy indie or AAA game, you’re going to miss out on so much incredible stuff. Grab an emulator and get acclimated with the classics, go dumpster diving for some weird shit nobody’s ever heard of (Wild wanted me to name drop Okage Shadow King here, personally I was thinking more Wizkid: The Story of Wizball II.) I can only tell you what inspires me, which is vintage media, cartoons from the 60s, video games from the 90s, one of my biggest bursts of inspiration this year came from a Belgium cartoon from 1966 called Chromophobia, stuff far older than I am, and I highly recommend that, but you can find your own groove. Just branch out. I promise it’s worth it.
Of course making the work for experience itself is important, but you should also care about yourself too. You might be overwhelmed with work from College or a Job but still want to try supporting the team anyways; don’t just throw your life away for the project, as we won’t mind you taking breaks to deal with your own business first. There isn’t really a hard deadline for any of our work, so it’s fine for us to take our time on the project. The same kind of mindset also applies to other projects and work; handle what work you need to do first, and THEN go back to do stuff on your own free time. Regardless about whoever you are though, I hope you have an absolutely fantastic day~
I’m genuinely glad to be part of something like this and have such a major role. Thanks to everyone who led me here.
Hope you guys enjoy the weird little gremlins i designed!
Had you hoped for more? That is fine. We will be working on it...
No one will read this but I want to be in a polycule with tenna and flowery but in a lesbian way
(...Seriously, though. I'm very glad to be here. I needed this to help me break out of my shell and make new friends.)
Together... * smirks * ... we are team loss... also can we make green gaster 67 theory canon. But in all seriousness, this has been my first ever utdr project, let alone a project that lets me practice and show off my sprite stuff, it really feels like Loss is allowing me to progress and grow my art skills.
i enjoy loss Chapter 6 and i enjoy Voice Chat (In loss chapter 6)
I'm eternally grateful to have the opportunity to contribute to the mod. Everyone has been so wonderful and working on it has been some of the most fun I've had writing ever!
I've loved working in this team, genuinely a great environment, everyone involved in the project deserves their flowers.
my favorite food is bread

I wonder if I can place the gaster motif somewhere without Samo noticing.
Samo had to kill the music bot cause everyone kept playing verity over and over again.
...Well, that's all for now. Thanks for reading!
